Widget catalog
The eight dashboard widget kinds at a glance, grouped into charts and content, with guidance on when to reach for each one.
A dashboard is built from widgets. There are eight kinds, grouped in the Add widget menu as Charts and Content. Data widgets read live from your CRM, while content widgets hold notes and embedded pages.
The eight widget kinds
| Widget | Best for |
|---|---|
| Bar chart | Comparing a metric across categories |
| Line chart | A metric over time or a trend |
| Pie chart | The share of a whole across a few categories |
| KPI | A single headline number, optionally with a trend |
| Gauge | Progress toward a target |
| Record list | A live table of matching records |
| Rich text | Notes, headings, and context on the board |
| Embed | An external page shown inside the board |
Charts
Bar, line, and pie charts share the same data setup: a source, a metric, and a category to group by. Bar and line charts also support a series to break each category down further.
Content
KPI and gauge distill data down to a single number. Record list shows the underlying records as a table. Rich text and embed add context and external content that is not tied to a data source.
